Basic Wrx execution Tricks
Here are a few Wrx execution tricks that I have come over that may give you that extra punch next time you pull up next to a Corvette at a stoplight. Please keep in mind that often increasing horsepower comes down to some coarse sense.
Oil Changes
The Invidia N1 downpipe offers strong boost in power, great horsepower gains, and has a range configurations to pick from. This downpipe is available in a catless bellmouth, catless divorced, and high flow cat qualified divorced design. Invidia's Downpipe for the Wrx and Sti features a large 4inch stainless steel bellmouth to enhance power by freeing excess gases, and creating optimal flow and performance.
A divorced wastegate has a plate the protrudes into the turbo to isolate exhaust flow advent out of the turbo to give cut turbulence. This is good for stock and smaller turbochargers the protrusion does not work with some aftermarket turbos like Aps turbo's for example. A Bellmouth has a wide open create that is best for larger turbochargers with more flow. It will work fine with a stock or small turbo, but it is designed for scenarios where wastegate turbulence is not an i ssue. Invidia's catless downpipe will cause a Check machine Light on your Wrx/Sti.
While this isn't harmful, it can be annoying and disables the cruise control. You can use a software solution such as the Cobb Accessport to eliminate these codes. The high flow catted downpipe is not emissions legal, and may still cause a Cel. The high flow cat helps to cut boost spiking on the 2.5L motors. Invidia Down Pipe can be bolted up to any Invidia
